WWWE Logo Encoded Information

In encoded information, original values are expressed in an alternative representation. Files may be encoded for purposes of size reduction (file compression), for security purposes (encryption), or for purposes of readability or processing (markup). In the first two instances, encoded information must be decoded before it can be used; in the last instance, the encoding is the desired final form.
